Welcome back to some and a warm welcome to the rest! Fasten
your seat belts because this is a wild ride. As long as you stay focused and are
disciplined, you will do fine. Please use any of us a resource. Never be afraid
to ask a questions; chances are others have the same question but are too shy
to ask. If we cannot help, your ultimate resources are Matt, Josh, Kimberly,
Ana, and any faculty member from the Biosciences departmen (e.g. perhaps the author of the grant <<wink wink>>); and let’s not
forget about Dijanna, for without her, many of us would be lost, locked out,
and without a ride. It might seem tough at first but hang in there. Your hard
work will pay off. My apologies in advance if we weren't suppose to blog this
week. I am not completing the DB answer and questions and hope that starts next
week; nevertheless, I have already started my hours! Speaking of which and before I forget, don’t save your lab hours until the last minute. This is
not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Keep a steady yet progressing pace. If you have a few minutes, please check out the below video. I have to share it every semester. It is one of my favorites and brings me peace when I am running around the lab like a chicken with its head cut off. Cheers!
If you were to need anything, please let me know. Best of luck and Carpe Diem! JDM
